Embedded Systems C C++ RTOS Microcontroller Aerospace Back End Engineer

About Relativity Space: Relativity Space is pioneering a new era in space exploration through advanced rocket technology. We’re building systems that push the boundaries of what’s possible in orbital launches. Our embedded software teams develop critical low-level code for flight control systems, real-time monitoring, and hardware interfacing. This role directly impacts the reliability and performance of our Terran-R launch vehicle.\n\nKey Responsibilities:\n\n Develop and maintain embedded software for real-time systems\n Design and implement firmware for spacecraft and ground systems\n Optimize code for performance and resource constraints\n Collaborate with hardware teams on system integration\n Troubleshoot and debug complex embedded issues\n Ensure safety-critical systems meet stringent reliability standards\n\nRequired Skills:\n\n Experience with embedded C/C++ development\n Knowledge of real-time operating systems (RTOS)\n Familiarity with microcontroller architectures\n Understanding of system-level programming\n Experience with hardware debugging tools\n Proficiency in version control systems\n\nIdeal Candidate:\n\nWe seek an embedded engineer who excels at solving complex problems under pressure. This role requires deep technical knowledge and the ability to work with ambiguous requirements common in aerospace development. You should have a track record of delivering reliable code for mission-critical applications. Experience with avionics systems or similar high-reliability domains is highly valued.
