We build and operate industrial-size Battery Energy Storage Systems (BESS) and solar plants across the Netherlands, Germany, and Spain, ensuring renewable energy is reliable and accessible. Role: We welcome applications from Backend Engineers interested in working on platforms that accelerate the transition to carbon-free energy. You will focus on developing and maintaining the server-side logic, databases, and APIs that power our energy management and operational systems. You will be making a measurable (country-level) impact.

Responsibilities: Your responsibilities will likely include designing and implementing scalable backend services, managing databases, developing APIs for internal and external use, ensuring code quality and performance, and collaborating with other engineers on the systems supporting our BESS and solar operations.

Team & Culture: You'll join a tech team whose members have co-founded several companies and have extensive experience (since 2008) with remote development. They are personally involved in the hiring process, offering direct interaction without recruiters.

Ideal Candidate: We seek an engineer passionate about renewable energy and building robust backend systems. You should have strong programming skills (e.g., Python, Go, Java, Node.js), experience with databases (SQL and/or NoSQL), knowledge of API design (REST, gRPC), familiarity with cloud platforms, and ideally experience with distributed systems. You should thrive in a remote, impactful environment.
