We simplify access to complex federal, state, and local incentive programs designed to fund decarbonization projects. Our platform abstracts away policy complexity, allowing contractors, homeowners, incentive providers, implementers, and equipment manufacturers to easily access funding and focus on their projects. **Role Description:**

We are seeking an experienced Mid/Senior Back-end Engineer to join our team and play a key role in shaping our platform's architecture and development. You will be responsible for designing, implementing, and scaling complex backend systems, mentoring junior engineers, and contributing to technical strategy.

**Responsibilities:**

*   Lead the design and development of core backend features using Python and FastAPI.
*   Architect scalable and resilient systems on Google Cloud Platform (GKE).
*   Optimize database performance and design efficient data models.
*   Ensure high code quality through testing, code reviews, and establishing best practices.
*   Mentor junior engineers and contribute to a collaborative team environment.
*   Collaborate with product managers and frontend engineers on feature development.
*   Take ownership of significant parts of the backend infrastructure and application logic.

**Technical Skills:**

*   Extensive experience in backend development with Python (FastAPI preferred).
*   Deep understanding and hands-on experience with Google Cloud Platform (GKE, Cloud SQL, etc.).
*   Proven ability to design and implement complex, scalable APIs and microservices.
*   Strong database design and optimization skills (SQL/NoSQL).
*   Experience with containerization (Docker) and orchestration (Kubernetes).
*   Familiarity with type checking tools like pyright.
*   Experience with CI/CD pipelines.
