About The Role: We are seeking a Senior Software Engineer (C#) to join our technology team in our New York City headquarters. In this role, you will be responsible for developing highly scalable server-side features for our online game console clients using object-oriented development in C#, ASP.NET, and SQL Server. You will work in an AWS cloud-based, event-driven microservice architecture with a high priority on web performance optimization.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Developing high-volume, highly scalable server-side features utilizing Windows Server, SQL Server, IIS, .NET, and C#.
  • Designing and implementing web services that support game console clients, browser clients, and external server clients.
  • Building highly reliable distributed server systems that can handle millions of concurrent users.
  • Optimizing web performance and ensuring the scalability and reliability of our online services.
  • Collaborating with cross-functional teams across Rockstar’s worldwide studios to align on technical goals and share best practices.

What You’ll Bring:

  • Proven experience developing scalable distributed systems (minimum 6+ years).
  • Expertise in C# and/or C++.
  • Strong CS fundamentals, including OO design patterns and concepts.
  • Experience with API design, web service scalability, and security practices.
  • Database development experience (MSSQL).
  • Proficiency with source control (Perforce preferred).
  • Bonus points for experience in online gaming systems, networking, or Agile methodologies.

Compensation: The estimated pay range for this role in New York is $121,400 - $161,800 per year, plus benefits and potential bonus.
