SalesJack provides a sales software platform (CRM and prospecting service) for independent businesses in the construction supply industry. Our customers are blue-collar, entrepreneurial teams who have been historically underserved by technology. We empower them with tools to compete effectively against larger rivals like Home Depot and Lowe’s.

Our founding team comes from Uber and the construction industry, blending modern tech with a deep understanding of customer needs. We’ve grown quickly and profitably, just raising our seed round to accelerate growth and product development. This role is a key founding hire with a clear path to VP Engineering.

About The Role:

You will collaborate directly with founders to build and grow our engineering org:

• Shape the long-term product vision and roadmap, aligning business goals with technical strategies
• Recruit, mentor, and lead a high-performing engineering team
• Roll up your sleeves to code, architect, and deploy core platform features

Key Responsibilities:

• Architect and optimize robust database infrastructure, implementing data pipelines and ETL processes for data integrity
• Design and deploy scalable, user-centric products that drive business growth
• Develop AI agents that automate labor-intensive workflows, delivering significant efficiency gains in the construction supply industry
• Shape the product vision and roadmap, ensuring alignment with business objectives
• Recruit, mentor, and lead a high-performing engineering team
• Collaborate directly with founders to build and grow the product

Qualifications:

• Full-stack expertise with a proven track record of shipping production code
• Experience building B2B SaaS applications, preferably in early-stage settings
• Experience in data pipelines, transformation, and infrastructure
• Ability to fluidly shift between architecture design, coding, and customer interactions
• Strong leadership skills with experience managing engineering teams
• Thrive in fast-paced, ambiguous environments

Tech Stack:

• Typescript, React, Node.js, Python, dbt
• Azure, Airbyte
• Experience with CRM applications is a plus

Compensation:

This role offers a base salary of $200,000 plus equity and benefits. As a key founding engineer, you’ll have significant ownership and impact on the product direction and team growth.
