About Sarama: Sarama is a cutting-edge company dedicated to decoding dog communication. We’re building smart collars that combine audio, motion, and behavior data to help pet owners understand their dogs better.

About The Role: We’re looking for a Fullstack Hardware Engineer to join our growing team. In this role, you’ll be responsible for building the smart collar hardware stack. This includes designing and developing PCBs, utilizing 3D printing, and creating battery-efficient firmware. We already have prototypes, and your primary focus will be on taking the product to the next level in terms of production and distribution.

What You’ll Do / Responsibilities:

  • Design and develop the hardware components of the smart collar
  • Work with PCBs and 3D printing to iterate on the product design
  • Write efficient firmware to run on the collar, ensuring minimal battery usage
  • Collaborate with the software and data teams to ensure seamless integration
  • Oversee the transition from prototype to production

What You’ll Bring / Requirements / Qualifications:

  • Proven experience in hardware engineering, particularly in consumer electronics
  • Strong skills in PCB design and 3D printing
  • Expertise in firmware development, preferably with battery-efficient code
  • Experience with Python or similar languages for scripting and automation
  • A portfolio of hardware projects is a plus
