Science Corporation is a clinical-stage, vertically integrated neural engineering company in Alameda, CA, developing advanced medical technologies to restore quality of life. We focus on neuroscience's hardest questions, developing the full tech stack for neural interfaces (vision restoration, BCI) and recently raised $110M led by Khosla Ventures.

We are seeking exceptional Software Engineers to join our fast-growing team. In this role, you will contribute to designing, developing, testing, and maintaining the software systems that power our groundbreaking neural engineering platform. This could involve work on embedded systems for our devices (like SciFi or PRIMA), building data processing pipelines (Nexus Software), implementing communication protocols (Synapse Protocol), developing internal tools for research and manufacturing (Foundry), or creating user-facing applications.

Responsibilities:
* Collaborate with cross-functional teams (hardware, biology, clinical) to define software requirements.
* Design, implement, and test robust and scalable software solutions.
* Develop software for data acquisition, signal processing, and device control.
* Contribute to the architecture and infrastructure of our software ecosystem.
* Maintain high standards for code quality, documentation, and testing, potentially in a regulated environment.

Ideal Candidate:
* Strong proficiency in one or more relevant programming languages (e.g., Python, C++, Rust).
* Experience developing complex software systems.
* Solid understanding of software engineering principles, data structures, and algorithms.
* Passion for tackling challenging technical problems with the potential for significant human impact.
* Experience in medical devices, robotics, scientific computing, or related fields is a plus.
* Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field.
