**About The Team:**
The Developer Tooling team empowers & supports Scribd's 150+ engineers throughout the software development lifecycle. We identify opportunities to drive impactful improvements from initial problem approach through development, release, and production observability. We provide robust tools and frameworks, including our remote development environment, service foundation frameworks, critical infrastructure management (networking, service discovery), and improving our Monolith's development foundations. The team is remote-first across North America & western Europe.

**About The Role:**
As the Senior Engineering Manager for Developer Tooling, you will lead a team focused on enhancing the development experience and productivity across Scribd Engineering. You'll shape the future of development by:
*   Driving technical strategy balancing immediate needs with long-term excellence.
*   Spearheading our code AI strategy: integrating and customizing AI-powered coding agents and driving adoption.
*   Scaling developer productivity improvements via AI solutions with measurable outcomes.
*   Collaborating with engineering teams & leaders to understand and meet their needs.
*   Building and scaling development foundations for our engineering organization.
You will be at the forefront of leveraging evolving AI coding tools to transform how our teams build software.

**Key Attributes & Requirements:**
*   4+ years of engineering management experience (leading high-performing full-stack or platform teams).
*   5+ years of senior-level (or above) software engineering experience.
*   Leadership experience driving innovative initiatives with measurable impact.
*   Track record of building and supporting mission-critical developer tools.
*   Deep technical understanding of software development workflows and bottlenecks.
*   Proven ability to foster engineering excellence and best practices.
*   Ability to balance innovation with practical solutions.
