Key Responsibilities

• Lead the design of high‑scale API endpoints, ensuring horizontal scalability for thousands of concurrent requests.
• Own the end‑to‑end lifecycle of feature delivery – from concept to deployment and support.
• Build fault‑tolerant connectors for Google, Baidu, Bing, DuckDuckGo, and other engines, leveraging web‑drivers and headless browsers when needed.
• Mentor junior engineers, lead code reviews, and set coding standards across the tech stack.
• Optimize MongoDB query patterns, index usage, and cache layers (Redis, Memcached).
• Implement CI/CD pipelines, automated testing, and observability stacks (Grafana, Prometheus).
• Collaborate with product and client support to refine feature specs and troubleshoot production incidents.
• Drive the technical direction for multi‑language SDKs and third‑party integrations.

Required Skills

• 5+ years’ production experience with Ruby on Rails and JavaScript (Node).
• Deep experience with NoSQL databases, especially MongoDB.
• Proficiency in AWS services (Lambda, ECS, S3, CloudFront, SNS).
• Strong knowledge of API security (OAuth, JWT, rate limiting).
• Ability to design distributed systems that are resilient to failures.
• Familiarity with test‑driven development and containerization (Docker, Kubernetes).

Compensation

• Salary 150 $k–180 $k, equity, profit sharing and full benefits.
