You will be the compassionate face of our platform, helping individuals and families understand their options, access appropriate care, and advocate for themselves. This role offers a unique opportunity to make a direct impact on patients' lives while working in a fast-paced, innovative startup environment. **Key Responsibilities:** - Serve as a dedicated health advocate for patients, helping them navigate complex healthcare decisions - Provide empathetic support and guidance throughout the patient journey - Stay current on healthcare policies, treatments, and provider networks - Maintain detailed records of patient interactions and outcomes - Collaborate with our clinical team to ensure patients receive appropriate care recommendations - Address patient concerns and questions with clarity and compassion - Help patients understand insurance coverage and eligibility requirements - Identify and connect patients with specialized resources and services - Provide follow-up support to ensure patients achieve desired health outcomes - Maintain professional boundaries while building rapport with patients **Required Skills and Qualifications:** - Proven ability to empathetically support others through difficult healthcare decisions - Excellent communication and active listening skills - Strong organizational skills with attention to detail - Ability to remain calm and professional under pressure - Proficiency in using digital tools for patient communication and record-keeping - Basic understanding of healthcare terminology and processes - Experience in healthcare, social work, or customer service preferred - High school diploma or equivalent required - Must be available to dedicate consistent hours to patient support **Compensation:** This role offers competitive pay for a 1099 contract position, with benefits commensurate with the role. The estimated pay range for this position is $25-40 per hour, depending on experience.
