About Solve Intelligence: Solve Intelligence is a YC S23 startup building AI-powered tools for IP professionals. We help with invention harvesting, patent generation, and IP portfolio management. Our tech stack includes AWS, Terraform, Postgres, FastAPI, React, and Tailwind.

About The Role: We’re seeking a Founding Designer/Design Engineer to help shape our product from the ground up. This is a critical role where you’ll own the design system, user interfaces, and overall user experience for our AI platform. You’ll work closely with our founders and engineers to create intuitive, impactful designs that help IP professionals leverage AI effectively.

Key Responsibilities:

• Design and implement user interfaces for our AI-powered platform
• Create and maintain design systems and components using Tailwind CSS
• Collaborate with founders and engineers to translate requirements into visual designs
• Conduct user research and usability testing to inform design decisions
• Develop interactive prototypes and ensure consistency across platforms
• Advocate for users and create designs that improve workflow efficiency

Required Skills and Ideal Candidate:

• Proven experience as a designer or design engineer
• Strong proficiency in UI/UX design principles
• Experience with React and Tailwind CSS
• Ability to write and maintain design systems
• Portfolio demonstrating UI/UX projects, especially in tech/AI domains
• Understanding of user-centered design methodologies
• Experience working with development teams to implement designs
• Passion for creating accessible, intuitive interfaces for complex tools
