As a Staff Engineer, you will be instrumental in architecting and building the core features of our innovative platform. You'll tackle challenging problems at the intersection of spreadsheets, AI, and user experience, working across our tech stack.

Responsibilities:
- Design, develop, test, and deploy high-quality features for the Sourcetable application, focusing on both frontend (React) and backend (Python) components.
- Contribute significantly to the architectural design and evolution of our AI-native platform.
- Collaborate closely with product management, design, and other engineers to define and implement user-facing features, including our AI autopilot capabilities.
- Work with various AI models and integrate them effectively into the spreadsheet workflow.
- Optimize application performance, scalability, and reliability.
- Mentor other engineers and promote engineering best practices within the team.
- Engage with our Python virtual environment, potentially expanding its tools and libraries.

Required Skills:
- Proven experience as a Senior or Staff level Software Engineer.
- Expertise in frontend development using React and modern JavaScript/TypeScript.
- Strong proficiency in backend development using Python, including experience with web frameworks and data manipulation libraries.
- Solid understanding of software architecture, distributed systems, and databases.
- Experience building complex, interactive user interfaces.
- Excellent problem-solving abilities and a pragmatic approach to software development.
- Strong communication and collaboration skills.
