Our technology teams work on complex, large-scale systems handling over 1 billion transactions per day. We are expanding our network to more homes and businesses, including rural areas, and require experienced DevOps engineers to help scale our infrastructure.

**About The Role:** We are seeking a Sr. DevOps Engineer to join our technology team. In this role, you will be responsible for managing and implementing geo-dispersed on-prem Kubernetes clusters, ensuring the reliability and scalability of our systems. You will work closely with development teams to translate their requests into system changes while maintaining system reliability and stability. **Responsibilities:**
* Lead the design and implementation of geo-dispersed on-prem Kubernetes clusters
* Manage and optimize distributed systems handling massive transaction volumes
* Collaborate with development teams to translate requirements into technical solutions
* Ensure system reliability, scalability, and performance
* Develop and maintain automation for infrastructure provisioning and management
* Work with timeseries and distributed databases to optimize data processing
* Implement monitoring and alerting systems to ensure high availability
* Troubleshoot and resolve complex infrastructure issues
* Stay current with emerging technologies and apply them to our infrastructure

**Requirements:**
* Proven experience managing large-scale Kubernetes clusters
* Deep understanding of distributed systems architecture
* Experience with timeseries databases like QuestDB and InfluxDB
* Hands-on knowledge of distributed databases such as Cassandra
* Strong background with traditional SQL databases like MariaDB
* Minimum 5+ years of Linux system administration (Red Hat, Rocky, CentOS)
* Experience with ETL processes and handling large dynamic datasets
* Strong scripting skills (Python, Bash preferred)
* Understanding of cloud infrastructure and network optimization
* Excellent problem-solving skills with ability to analyze complex system issues
* Experience leading cross-functional teams and technical projects

**Nice-to-have:**
* Experience with container orchestration tools beyond Kubernetes
* Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines and infrastructure-as-code
* Knowledge of network security best practices
* Experience with monitoring tools like Prometheus or Grafana
* Understanding of telecommunications infrastructure
