We are launching a strategic initiative to enhance our cloud infrastructure, leveraging AWS services like ECS, Fargate, and Aurora Serverless while aligning with the AWS Well-Architected Framework. We are seeking a Senior DevOps Engineer with production-level expertise to lead this technical transformation. Responsibilities:
- Lead the design, implementation, and management of cloud infrastructure on AWS using ECS, Fargate, Aurora Serverless, and other services like Transit Gateway and Control Tower.
- Drive the adoption of the AWS Well-Architected Framework to ensure reliability, security, and performance best practices.
- Automate infrastructure provisioning and management using Terraform, creating scalable and resilient architecture.
- Collaborate with engineering and operations teams to deliver high-performance, secure solutions.
- Spearhead initiatives to enable self-service capabilities, reducing wait times and improving efficiency.
- Design automation workflows using AWS Lambda and Step Functions to enhance operational efficiency.
- Mentor and support the DevOps team, promoting CI/CD pipelines, Infrastructure as Code, and cloud architecture best practices.
- Provide technical leadership for monitoring, troubleshooting, and ensuring system reliability in production.

Required Qualifications:
- 5+ years of DevOps experience with extensive AWS production expertise, including ECS and Fargate.
- Deep experience with Terraform and Infrastructure as Code (IaC).
- Knowledge of AWS services such as RDS, Aurora Serverless, Transit Gateway, and Control Tower.
- Proficiency in scripting (Python, Bash) and building automation with AWS Lambda and Step Functions.
- Experience designing CI/CD pipelines with tools like Jenkins.
- Strong understanding of cloud networking, security best practices, and monitoring/observability tools.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills with attention to detail.

Preferred Qualifications:
- Proven experience leading technical projects and mentoring DevOps teams.
- AWS Certifications (Solutions Architect, DevOps Engineer).
- Knowledge of PostgreSQL database management.
- Experience with Jenkins for CI/CD pipeline management.
- Familiarity with disaster recovery strategies, high availability, and backup solutions in AWS.

Compensation:
The estimated pay range for this role is $150,000 - $200,000. This role is eligible to participate in SpryPoint's equity plan.
