About The Role: As a Senior Software Engineer - Rails at StackBlitz, you’ll work on building and scaling our backend infrastructure using Ruby on Rails. You’ll collaborate with cross-functional teams to implement features that enhance our platform’s performance and reliability.

Key Responsibilities:

• Design and develop backend services using Ruby on Rails
• Build and maintain APIs that power our core platform features
• Optimize database queries and application performance
• Collaborate with frontend teams to ensure seamless integration
• Troubleshoot and resolve technical issues across the stack
• Contribute to architectural decisions and help drive technical strategy

Required Skills:

• 5+ years of professional software engineering experience
• Strong proficiency in Ruby and Ruby on Rails
• Experience with database technologies (PostgreSQL, MySQL)
• Understanding of RESTful API design and implementation
• Familiarity with cloud platforms and containerization (Docker, Kubernetes)
• Experience with version control systems (Git)
• Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail
• Portfolio demonstrating complex backend projects

Compensation: The estimated pay range for this role is $130,000 - $170,000, with potential for equity participation. This role is eligible to participate in StackBlitz’s equity plan.
