Lead a team of talented engineers at Stainless, building the platform for high-quality, easy-to-use APIs. We're the force behind SDKs for OpenAI, Anthropic, and Cloudflare.

    About Stainless:
    A well-funded (~3y old, ~20 people, Sequoia & a16z backed) company with strong revenue, several years of runway and top-tier customers (OpenAI, Anthropic, Cloudflare). We are focused on improving the developer ecosystem through better API tooling.

    The Role:
    As an early Engineering Manager, you will lead, mentor, and grow a team of engineers building core parts of our platform. You'll foster a collaborative and productive environment, guide technical direction, manage project execution, and contribute to building a great engineering culture. You'll have autonomy and work closely with other leaders to shape our technical strategy and processes.

    Who We're Looking For:
    We need thoughtful, kind, and effective leaders with a strong technical background and a passion for building great teams and products. You should be experienced in managing software engineers, driving projects, hiring, and promoting best practices. Prior experience in API platforms, developer tools, or related infrastructure domains is beneficial. Excellent communication and people management skills are essential. Former founders are welcome.
