**About Stealth Startup:** We are building a revolutionary automation platform that lets users automate any online task a person could perform. Think of it as taking manus.im to the next level. Our platform handles complex automation by spinning up persistent computing environments per chat and syncing data across hundreds of these environments per user. This approach enables our AI to perform tasks at scale, but it comes with significant cost challenges due to our current architecture.

    **About The Role:** We're seeking a talented Backend and Applied AI Engineer to join our early-stage team. This is a unique opportunity to have a major impact on our platform's architecture as we scale. You'll be responsible for optimizing system performance, improving reliability, and reducing costs. The ideal candidate will wear many hats in this intense startup environment and play a crucial role in shaping our technical direction.

    **Key Responsibilities:**
    - Design, implement, and optimize backend systems to handle massive scale
    - Improve the reliability and performance of our distributed architecture
    - Optimize our AI infrastructure to reduce costs while maintaining functionality
    - Work with system programming languages (Go, Python, Rust, TypeScript)
    - Implement and manage container orchestration systems (Nomad, Firecracker)
    - Develop and maintain robust networking solutions
    - Collaborate with our AI team to optimize LLM-based features
    - Build and maintain monitoring systems for our distributed infrastructure

    **Required Skills:**
    - Deep understanding of distributed systems architecture
    - Proficiency in system programming languages (Go, Python, Rust, TypeScript)
    - Experience with container orchestration and virtualization technologies
    - Strong networking fundamentals and implementation experience
    - Production experience with large-scale AI/ML systems
    - Solid grasp of Linux internals and system administration
    - Experience with cloud infrastructure optimization
    - Excellent problem-solving abilities and debugging skills
