Role: Stream is seeking an Engineering Director to lead multiple backend teams responsible for our core Go-based products (Video, Chat, Moderation, Feeds). You will be responsible for the technical strategy, execution, and health of these teams, ensuring we build robust, scalable, and high-performance systems.

Responsibilities:
*   Lead and manage multiple backend engineering teams using Go and technologies like CockroachDB, RocksDB, WebRTC, Raft, Redis.
*   Define and drive the technical vision and strategy for your domain.
*   Recruit, mentor, and develop engineering managers and senior technical leaders.
*   Ensure successful delivery of complex projects across teams.
*   Foster a culture of technical excellence, innovation, and accountability.
*   Collaborate with product leadership, other engineering directors, and executives.
*   Oversee system architecture, scalability, reliability, and performance for critical services.
*   Manage budgets and resource allocation for your teams.

Ideal Candidate:
*   Proven experience managing multiple software engineering teams, ideally in a high-growth, high-scale environment.
*   Strong technical background, preferably with experience in Go and distributed systems.
*   Demonstrated ability to set technical vision and lead teams to execute against it.
*   Excellent leadership, communication, and organizational skills.
*   Experience scaling engineering organizations and processes.
*   Ability to operate at both strategic and tactical levels.
