**About Streamplace:** Streamplace is building the video layer for decentralized social networks. We're creating the infrastructure for an entire generation of sovereign video applications. Our mission is to solve video for everybody forever by developing open-source live video infrastructure for the AT Protocol ecosystem.

**About The Role:** Join Streamplace as a Decentralized Video Protocol Engineer to build the backbone of decentralized video infrastructure for the AT Protocol ecosystem. You'll be responsible for developing, testing, and documenting the core video protocols that power creator-sovereign livestreaming and VOD experiences across platforms.

**Responsibilities:**
* Design and implement high-performance video processing pipelines in Go
* Architect, develop, and optimize the Streamplace Protocol for signed video segments
* Work with cryptographic primitives to ensure content authenticity and provenance
* Build and maintain the open-source Streamplace node that powers our ecosystem
* Collaborate on WebRTC and HLS streaming infrastructure
* Develop robust testing frameworks for video delivery at scale
* Write clear technical documentation for the protocol
* Contribute to open standards around decentralized video

**Requirements:**
* Strong experience with Go programming language
* Experience with video streaming technologies (WebRTC, HLS, RTMP)
* Familiarity with GStreamer pipelines or similar media processing frameworks
* Understanding of network protocols and distributed systems
* Passion for open-source development and documentation

**Nice to Have:**
* Experience with Rust or C for performance-critical components
* Knowledge of cryptographic signing schemes (C2PA, signatures)
* Background in AT Protocol, Farcaster, or other decentralized social protocols
* Previous contributions to open-source projects
* Experience with containerization and deployment tools
* Comfort with occasional livestreamed development sessions
* Interest in decentralized technologies and creator sovereignty
