**About Streamplace:** Streamplace is building the video layer for decentralized social networks. We're creating the infrastructure for an entire generation of sovereign video applications. Our mission is to solve video for everybody forever by developing open-source live video infrastructure for the AT Protocol ecosystem.

**About The Role:** As Lead Front-End Engineer at Streamplace, you'll shape the user experience of our video applications across web, iOS, and Android platforms. You'll own the entire front-end stack, from design systems to cross-platform components, creating intuitive interfaces for both viewers and creators in the decentralized video ecosystem.

**Responsibilities:**
* Lead the development of the Streamplace application across web and mobile platforms
* Design and implement intuitive user interfaces for streaming and viewing experiences
* Create and maintain a cohesive design system and component library
* Build embeddable React components for third-party integration
* Develop and publish npm packages for embedding Streamplace in atproto ecosystem apps
* Write comprehensive documentation for developers integrating with our platform
* Collaborate closely with protocol engineers to ensure seamless user experience

**Requirements:**
* Expert-level React and React Native experience
* Strong design sensibilities and implementation skills
* Experience building and publishing reusable component libraries
* Ability to balance technical constraints with excellent user experience
* Passion for documentation and developer experience
* Proven track record shipping cross-platform applications

**Nice to Have:**
* Experience with streaming media interfaces and video players
* Familiarity with AT Protocol, Bluesky, or decentralized social applications
* Understanding of WebRTC technologies for low-latency video
* Experience with TypeScript and strong typing systems
* Design tool proficiency (Figma, etc.)
* Open-source contribution history
* Comfort with occasional livestreamed development sessions
