About The Role: We’re looking for a Junior Software Developer to join our technical team. This role involves building and maintaining the technology infrastructure that powers our educational products. You’ll work with Python, JavaScript, and Node.js to develop features that enhance the learning experience for children worldwide. Parental experience is essential.
Responsibilities:
- Develop and maintain backend services for educational content delivery
- Build responsive web applications and APIs using JavaScript/Node.js
- Implement machine learning features for personalized learning paths
- Optimize database queries and system performance
- Collaborate with designers and educators to implement learning features
- Contribute to code reviews and team knowledge sharing
- Troubleshoot and resolve technical issues in production
- Participate in agile development processes
Requirements:
- 0-3 years experience with Python, JavaScript, or Node.js
- Understanding of web development fundamentals (HTTP, REST APIs, databases)
- Experience with at least one modern frontend framework (React, Vue, etc.)
- Familiarity with educational technology platforms is a plus
- Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail
- Passion for education and children’s learning
- Parental experience required
- Ability to work asynchronously in a remote-first environment
