Role Overview: We are looking for a Billing Engineer to join our team. In this role, you will play a key part in developing and maintaining our billing systems. You will work on the backend and infrastructure that powers our billing platform, ensuring accuracy, reliability, and scalability.

Key Responsibilities:

• Design and implement scalable billing and invoicing systems
• Work with financial data and ensure accurate billing for our customers
• Collaborate with product and sales teams to define billing features and requirements
• Optimize and maintain existing billing infrastructure
• Troubleshoot and resolve billing-related issues
• Develop and maintain APIs for billing functionalities
• Ensure compliance with financial regulations and security standards
• Analyze usage patterns to identify optimization opportunities
• Build and maintain dashboards for billing analytics and reporting

Required Skills and Ideal Candidate:

• Proven experience in building and scaling backend systems
• Strong programming skills in languages like Go, Python, or Java
• Understanding of RESTful APIs and database design
• Experience with cloud platforms (AWS, GCP, or Azure) is a plus
• Familiarity with financial systems and billing models
• Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail
• Ability to work in a fast-paced, remote-first environment
• Experience with asynchronous communication and distributed teams
• Strong analytical skills with ability to handle complex data
