About Tandem Health: Tandem Health is building a clinician copilot to allow healthcare professionals to focus on care rather than administration. We’re building, launching and iterating quickly, and already have >500 organizations using our product. We just raised a $50M Series A and are expanding our Stockholm team with exceptional engineers! We use Python (backend), TypeScript/React (frontend) and C# (Windows app) and our infrastructure runs on Kubernetes in Azure. We’re scaling rapidly in terms of # of users and are especially keen to talk to seasoned backend engineers.**

**About The Role:** We are seeking a Backend Engineer to join our growing team. This is an exciting opportunity to significantly impact the scalability, reliability, and operational excellence of Tandem's infrastructure while working on cutting-edge healthcare technology. You will play a key role in driving the technical strategy, execution, and leadership of projects focused on backend systems, data processing, and API development. This role involves mentoring and guiding the team while ensuring high-quality code and system performance.

**What You'll Do / Responsibilities:**
*   Design, develop, test, and maintain backend systems using Python and related technologies.
*   Optimize database queries and data structures for improved performance and scalability.
*   Collaborate with frontend teams to design and implement robust APIs.
*   Contribute to the architecture of our cloud infrastructure (Kubernetes, Azure).
*   Implement and maintain CI/CD pipelines for automated testing and deployment.
*   Troubleshoot and debug complex system issues, ensuring high system availability.
*   Mentor junior engineers and contribute to code reviews.

**What You'll Bring / Requirements / Qualifications:**
*   Proven experience in backend development, particularly with Python.
*   Deep understanding of RESTful API design and implementation.
*   Experience with database technologies (SQL, NoSQL) and optimization techniques.
*   Knowledge of cloud platforms (AWS, GCP, Azure) and containerization (Docker, Kubernetes).
*   Familiarity with Agile/Scrum methodologies.
*   Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
*   Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and prioritize tasks effectively.
*   Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science or related field.

**Compensation:** The estimated pay range for this role is $140,000 - $180,000. This role is eligible for equity participation in Tandem Health.
