Staff Software Engineer

Tecton is seeking a Staff Software Engineer to join our team and drive innovation in feature engineering and real-time machine learning platforms. You will play a key role in architecting and implementing systems that power Tecton’s core compute engine (Rift) and feature serving infrastructure. This role involves designing high-performance, distributed systems using technologies like Apache Arrow, DuckDB, and Ray, while ensuring fault isolation, low-latency performance, and cost optimization. You will collaborate with cross-functional teams to develop features for fraud detection, risk scoring, and personalization use cases, working with Python, SQL, and distributed computing frameworks. The ideal candidate will have experience with distributed systems, feature stores, and real-time data processing, and will contribute to Tecton’s mission of enabling teams to build AI applications in production.
