Technical Writing Documentation Quarto Markdown Google Docs Software Documentation Data Warehouse Business Intelligence SQL Remote APAC EdgeSet Product
Tetmon is seeking a full-time Technical Writer to join our team remotely within the APAC time zone (centered around SGT). Tetmon builds EdgeSet, a powerful yet easy-to-use virtual data warehouse and business intelligence tool that connects disparate data sources, allowing users to query them using SQL via a familiar notebook interface, effectively creating a distributed parallel data processing fabric.

Your primary responsibility will be to become an expert in EdgeSet and create clear, concise, and comprehensive educational materials to explain its functionality and benefits to various audiences, including users and administrators.

Responsibilities:
* Expand and enhance our existing EdgeSet user manual (https://www.tetmon.com/edgeset/manual/current/en-US/), which is maintained in Quarto (markdown).
* Write engaging and informative blog posts (examples: https://www.tetmon.com/blog) covering EdgeSet features, data engineering concepts (like data processing transformation, automatic inference, partitioning), SaaS benefits, security, and peer-to-peer data access.
* Develop slide decks for our in-person and online training programs.
* Create and maintain internal employee and partner handbooks and documentation.
* Author compelling case studies and project summaries showcasing EdgeSet's value (e.g., building a CRM with EdgeSet and Google Sheets).
* Write scripts for educational and promotional videos.
* Collaborate regularly with our engineers, analysts, and clients to gather information and ensure technical accuracy.

Ideal Candidate:
* Proven experience as a Technical Writer, preferably documenting complex software products like data platforms or BI tools.
* Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English.
* Ability to understand complex technical concepts (SQL, data warehousing, distributed systems) and explain them simply.
* Experience with markdown (specifically Quarto is a significant plus) and Google Docs.
* Familiarity with SQL and data concepts is highly desirable, as the target audience often requires it.
* Ability to work independently and manage multiple documentation projects simultaneously.
* Must be located in an APAC time zone to facilitate collaboration with the team centered around Singapore Time (SGT).
* A portfolio or links to relevant writing samples are required.
