Senior/Staff Product Manager, Platform

About The Role: We are seeking an experienced and entrepreneurial Sr/Staff Product Manager to join our team. In this role, you will be responsible for delivering and evolving key customer-facing features of our cloud platform, such as horizontal scaling, high availability, and our new storage engine. This is an exciting opportunity to build the next great cloud-native database for the 25 million developers in the world.

Responsibilities:

• Develop a deep understanding of our customers and their problems, the competitive landscape, and market trends.
• Identify what problems to focus on and the sequence of steps to solve them.
• Articulate the value new products and features deliver before we start building them.
• Define pricing and packaging strategies for new features and capabilities.
• Collaborate with product marketing, marketing, and sales to define positioning and messaging.
• Measure adoption of the product, run experiments, and collect customer feedback.
• Serve as the connective tissue between engineering, design, marketing, customer care, and other stakeholders.

Requirements:

• 7+ years of proven track record in product management, with at least 3+ years of recent experience on complex technical products/platforms for a technical audience.
• Experience with databases or other technical products with high scale, high performance needs.
• Computer Science or technical degree and prior technical development experience strongly preferred.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Strong sense of ownership and problem-solving skills.
