**About Trunk:**

Trunk is an a16z and Initialized Capital funded dev tools startup, redefining software development at scale. We aim to solve problems that developers hate by bringing the tools usually built in-house at the best engineering orgs to every development team. Our products include Code Quality, Merge Queue, CI Analytics, and Flaky Test detection. We're focused on improving developer velocity, code quality, and CI reliability.

**The Role:**

We are seeking a Software Engineer II (Full Stack) to join our team remotely within the US or Canada. In this role, you'll contribute across our entire technology stack, building intuitive user interfaces, robust backend services, and improving the core functionality of our developer tools.

**Responsibilities:**

*   Develop and maintain frontend features using Typescript, React, Redux, and Next.js.
*   Build and enhance backend APIs and services using Typescript, Node.js, and gRPC.
*   Work with our cloud infrastructure on AWS.
*   Contribute to various Trunk products, potentially including our CLI (C++), VSCode extension (Typescript), and web application.
*   Collaborate closely with design, product, and other engineers to ship high-quality features.
*   Write clean, maintainable, and well-tested code.
*   Participate in code reviews and contribute to improving our engineering practices.

**Technical Skills Required:**

*   Strong proficiency in full-stack development.
*   Experience with modern frontend frameworks and libraries (React, Redux, Next.js).
*   Solid understanding of backend development using Typescript and Node.js.
*   Familiarity with cloud platforms (AWS preferred).
*   Experience with API design and technologies like REST or gRPC.
*   Comfortable working with databases and understanding data modeling.
*   Experience with CI/CD tools (GitHub Actions preferred).
*   Experience with C++, Bazel, or building VSCode extensions is a plus.
