Trunk is looking for a Senior Platform Engineer to build and scale the infrastructure powering our developer productivity tools. You'll play a key role in designing, implementing, and maintaining the core systems that enable Trunk's products like our universal linter, merge queue, and AI-driven flaky test analysis. This role requires working in a hybrid model from our San Francisco office.

Responsibilities:
* Design, build, and operate scalable, reliable, and performant backend systems and infrastructure.
* Work extensively with AWS, Kubernetes (k8s), CDK, and related cloud-native technologies.
* Develop and maintain services using Typescript, Node.js, and potentially Go or C++.
* Implement and manage observability solutions (Prometheus, Grafana, Jaeger, Kiali).
* Improve CI/CD pipelines (GitHub Actions) and deployment strategies.
* Collaborate with product engineering teams to understand infrastructure needs.
* Mentor other engineers and contribute to platform architecture decisions.

Ideal Candidate:
* 5+ years of experience in platform engineering, backend development, or SRE.
* Deep expertise in cloud infrastructure, particularly AWS.
* Strong experience with Kubernetes, containerization (Docker), and infrastructure-as-code (CDK, Terraform).
* Proficiency in backend languages like Node.js, Go, or similar.
* Experience with observability tools and practices.
* Solid understanding of networking, security, and distributed systems principles.
* Experience with gRPC is a plus.
