VDX.tv, an established (20+ years) ad tech company, is seeking experienced Backend Engineers strong in C, Concurrency, and Distributed Computing. VDX.tv magnifies the impact of TV/Video ads across digital devices using innovative ad experiences.

Role & Responsibilities:
- Design, develop, and maintain highly reliable backend server systems leveraging C.
- Work on challenging problems involving concurrency and distributed computing in large-scale systems.
- Contribute to continually reducing technical debt and complexity in mature software solutions.
- Take ownership of code from development through to production deployment.
- Operate within a Unix environment.
- Collaborate with a remote team of mature generalists.

Requirements:
- Strong proficiency in C programming.
- Deep understanding and practical experience with concurrency and distributed computing concepts.
- Significant experience working with Unix-based systems.
- Proven ability to build highly reliable, maintainable, simple, and readable code.
- Experience with many languages but can be effective in any language.
- Fluent written and spoken English.
