Senior Ruby on Rails Developer

What You’ll Do / Responsibilities:
- Design and build a multi-tenant Rails application that scales from day one.
- Own the backend and jump into full-stack tasks when needed. Rails + Stimulus only, no React/Vue.
- Drive architecture, infrastructure, and product direction with your own ideas.
- Grow quickly into a leadership role, potentially Lead Developer or VP Engineering, as we scale. Or you just keep on hacking great code - up to you.
- Participate in our hiring process: 45 min founder call, 60 min code walkthrough, and 4h remote pair-coding session.
What You’ll Bring / Requirements / Qualifications:
- 5+ years of experience with Ruby on Rails building production-grade applications.
- Proficiency with non-relational databases (DynamoDB, OpenSearch) and complex API integrations.
- Experience integrating AI/LLM APIs (OpenAI, Gemini).
- Strong autonomous work ethic and ability to thrive in a small, fast-paced team.
- Passion for modern web development and AI technologies.
- Deep understanding of software engineering principles and best practices.
Compensation:
- Base salary: €80,000 - €100,000
- Stock options: €20,000 - €25,000 (Delaware C-corp)
