SENIOR SOFTWARE ENGINEER (Python/Django + Vue)

**About VersaFeed:** VersaFeed builds robust ETL pipelines that process massive volumes of e-commerce product data from global retailers. We transform raw data into actionable insights delivered to platforms like Google, Meta, and TikTok. Our infrastructure handles petabytes of data daily, and we're seeking a Senior Software Engineer to enhance our backend systems and frontend interfaces. This is a full-time, remote position for qualified candidates in the USA or EU time zones.

**Key Responsibilities:**
- Design and implement scalable backend services using Python/Django
- Optimize data processing pipelines for performance and reliability
- Collaborate with frontend teams to create intuitive Vue.js interfaces
- Troubleshoot and resolve complex technical issues across the stack
- Mentor junior engineers and contribute to architectural decisions
- Maintain legacy systems while introducing modern best practices

**Required Skills:**
- Expert proficiency with Python/Django (experience with legacy Python 2 is a plus)
- Strong understanding of Vue.js for responsive frontend development
- Experience with PostgreSQL, Snowflake, and AWS cloud services
- Deep knowledge of distributed systems and data processing patterns
- Excellent debugging skills with an eye for system optimization
- Familiarity with containerization (Docker) and Git workflows
- Experience integrating AI/ML services (particularly OpenAI and Gemini)

- Proven track record of leading complex technical projects
- Experience refactoring legacy codebases while maintaining functionality
- Strong architectural thinking with the ability to balance technical tradeoffs
- Passion for writing clean, maintainable code that solves real problems
- Excellent communication skills with both technical and non-technical stakeholders
- Demonstrated ability to thrive in fully remote, asynchronous environments
- Familiarity with data migration patterns (especially Python 2 to Python 3)

**Compensation:** $150,000–$250,000 per year, depending on experience and qualifications
