**Key Responsibilities:** As a Senior Software Engineer at VersaFeed, you''ll lead the development of critical data processing systems. You''ll design and implement scalable ETL workflows, optimize data pipelines for performance and cost-efficiency, integrate with cloud services like AWS, and mentor junior engineers. You''ll work on complex data transformation challenges, ensuring our pipelines can handle increasing data volumes while maintaining reliability. This role requires strong ownership and the ability to architect solutions that balance technical excellence with business impact.

**Required Skills & Ideal Candidate:** We''re seeking a highly skilled Python/Django engineer with a proven track record of building and maintaining complex systems. You should have deep expertise in Python/Django, REST APIs, and database optimization. Experience with VueJS is a plus, but not required. We value engineers who can refactor "clever" code into maintainable, production-ready systems—those who understand that elegant solutions require careful trade-offs. You should be comfortable working with Snowflake or similar data warehouses, designing efficient data models, and implementing robust error handling.

**Technical Requirements:** 
- 5+ years of professional software engineering experience, preferably in data processing or ETL systems
- Mastery of Python/Django, including REST APIs and asynchronous processing
- Experience with database optimization and scaling PostgreSQL
- Strong understanding of distributed systems and cloud infrastructure (AWS preferred)
- Solid grasp of software architecture and system design principles
- Excellent problem-solving skills and ability to debug complex systems

**Bonus Qualifications:**
- Experience with AI/LLM integrations (OpenAI, Gemini)
- Python 2-3 migration expertise
- Docker and containerization knowledge
- Experience with data warehousing and analytics platforms
