Founding AI Engineer

At VLM Run, we are seeking a visionary Founding AI Engineer to join our team of veteran AI experts. With over 20 years of collective experience in building production-ready ML infrastructure for autonomous driving and AR/VR, we are now expanding to operationalize Vision-Language Models (VLMs) for a wide range of applications. This role involves architecting and implementing innovative solutions that enable developers to fine-tune, specialize, and operationalize VLMs through our unified API platform. You will play a crucial role in developing backend systems that power our structured JSON extraction capabilities, ensuring accuracy and reliability in visual AI integration. The ideal candidate will have a deep understanding of AI/ML principles, a passion for solving complex problems, and the ability to translate vision into tangible, production-grade systems. We are looking for someone who thrives in a fast-paced environment, enjoys mentoring junior engineers, and is committed to driving innovation in visual AI infrastructure. This position offers significant equity and a competitive salary range of $180,000 - $220,000 per year, plus an additional 0.5-3% equity package.
