DevRel Content Community Marketing AI ML Marketing

About VLM Run: VLM Run is an end-to-end platform for developers to build and operationalize agentic Vision-Language Models (VLMs). We are a team of veteran AI and computer vision experts with over 20 years of experience building production-ready ML infrastructure for autonomous driving and AR/VR. Our mission is to make VLM Run the go-to platform for running VLMs with a unified structured output API that’s versatile, powerful, and developer-friendly.

About The Role: We are looking for an outstanding Developer Relations Advocate to help us educate and build a relationship with a growing community of engineers, researchers, and founders that we consider the core of our mission at VLM Run.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Content: Create informative, useful, and well-written content across various channels (LinkedIn, Hackernews, Reddit, Discord as well as written publications and academic conferences). Emphasis on polished demos, fun and informative videos, and punchy marketing copy that lets people know just how capable our platform is.
  • Community Building: Organize meetups and hackathons that give our technical audience the opportunity to learn about and build with VLM Run. Interact with and moderate our various online communities (especially Discord) to respond to and curate feedback about the product, and surface issues to the team when relevant.
  • Evangelism: Attend meetups and conferences around core technologies (LLMs, VLMs, and MLOps) and target domains, including Consulting, Media/News, Manufacturing, Agriculture, and Energy. The biggest hurdle to adoption is visibility and understanding, so it’s crucial that you can write and speak effectively for a mixed audience. Prior open-source advocacy, public speaking, and dev tutorial experience is a plus!

Requirements:

  • At least 1 year of experience as a Developer Advocate, Developer Relations Specialist, or Evangelist for a large project.
  • Experience and relationships in the ML/AI ecosystem preferred but not required.
  • Strong written and oral communication skills.
  • Willing to attend conferences and meetups as a speaker and present in front of large groups of technical and non-technical attendees.
  • Evidence of prior success in DevRel as evidenced by written and video content, demos, or presentations. Please include some of your past work when you reach out!

Compensation: The estimated pay range for this role is $100,000 - $120,000. Additionally, this role is eligible to participate in VLM Run’s equity plan.
