Company: Maritime Shipping Solutions helps tackle one of the most important sectors for the global economy - maritime shipping. The industry is antiquated, hampered by paperwork, and customers are crying out for better solutions. We're a team of >20 people hiring remotely and globally.

Role: We are looking for Full-stack Software Engineers to help us build better solutions for the maritime shipping industry. You will be involved in developing new features and potentially refactoring complex legacy projects.

Responsibilities:
- Design, develop, and maintain full-stack applications using our tech stack.
- Collaborate with designers, data analysts, and implementation managers.
- Engage with end-users to understand their needs and gather feedback.
- Refactor and improve existing codebase for better maintainability and performance.
- Explore and implement solutions using LLMs and other AI tools.

Technical Skills:
- Proficiency in Typescript, Vue.js, MySQL.
- Experience with functional programming concepts (familiarity with fp-ts, EffectT is a plus).
- Experience with legacy Javascript codebases and refactoring.
- Understanding of software development best practices.

Ideal Candidate:
- Intellectually curious about new industries, specifically maritime shipping.
- Enjoys talking to and getting close to end users.
- Keen to use LLMs and other AI tools to solve problems.
- Comfortable working in a remote, global team environment (UCT-8 to UCT+4).
- Likes the challenge of refactoring complex projects.
- Fluent in English.
