Company: Maritime Shipping Solutions helps tackle one of the most important sectors for the global economy - maritime shipping. The industry is antiquated, hampered by paperwork, and customers are crying out for better solutions. We're a team of >20 people hiring remotely and globally.

Role: We are looking for a Data Analyst to help our customers leverage their data effectively using our software and to derive insights that improve their operations in the maritime shipping industry.

Responsibilities:
- Assist customers in getting their data into and out of our software platform.
- Develop and maintain data pipelines, potentially using ETL tools like AWS Glue, DBT, etc.
- Create reports and dashboards using tools like Metabase to provide insights to customers and internal teams.
- Analyze customer data to identify trends, patterns, and opportunities for improvement.
- Work with implementation managers and customer success teams to support customer data needs.
- Ensure data quality and integrity.

Technical Skills:
- Strong proficiency in SQL, particularly MySQL.
- Experience with data analysis and visualization tools (e.g., Metabase, Tableau, Power BI).
- Experience with ETL processes and tools (e.g., AWS Glue, DBT, or similar).
- Data modeling and database design knowledge is a plus.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.

- Enjoys talking to and getting close to end users/customers to understand their data requirements.
- Detail-oriented with a passion for uncovering insights from data.
- Keen to use modern data tools and techniques.
- Comfortable working in a remote, global team environment (UCT-8 to UCT+4).
- Fluent in English.
