Company: Weave Bio Location: Remote, US Weave Bio is building the first AI-enabled regulatory platform for drug development, leveraging Large Language Models (LLMs) to dramatically reduce the time and cost of regulatory submissions. Our SaaS platform helps biotech and pharmaceutical companies streamline workflows, ensure accuracy, and manage the lifecycle of therapeutic candidates according to global standards (e.g., eCTD). Role Description: We are looking for a talented AI Engineer with a strong interest or background in biology, biotech, or pharmaceuticals to join our innovative team. You will play a key role in developing, implementing, and optimizing the AI/ML models that power the Weave platform. This involves working extensively with LLMs, natural language processing (NLP), and potentially biological/clinical data to automate and enhance the creation of regulatory documents. Responsibilities: - Design, train, fine-tune, and deploy machine learning models, particularly LLMs, for tasks related to regulatory document generation and analysis. - Develop and maintain AI pipelines and infrastructure. - Collaborate with backend engineers to integrate AI features into the SaaS platform. - Work with domain experts to understand regulatory requirements and biological context. - Research and experiment with state-of-the-art AI techniques relevant to drug development and regulatory science. - Ensure the quality, reliability, and scalability of AI systems. Ideal Candidate: - MS or PhD in Computer Science, AI, Computational Biology, or related field, or equivalent practical experience. - Proven experience in developing and deploying machine learning models, especially in NLP and using LLMs (e.g., GPT, BERT). - Strong programming skills, particularly in Python and relevant AI/ML libraries (e.g., TensorFlow, PyTorch, Hugging Face). - Experience with cloud platforms (e.g., AWS, GCP, Azure) and MLOps practices. - Background or strong demonstrable interest in biology, bioinformatics, cheminformatics, medicine, or the pharmaceutical industry. - Ability to work collaboratively in a fast-paced startup environment. - Excellent problem-solving skills and analytical thinking.
