About Wirespeed: Wirespeed is building a fully-automated Managed Detection & Response (MDR) platform that helps organizations respond to security threats in seconds. Our mission is to make security fast, consistent, and transparent by automating the most time-consuming aspects of threat detection and response. We break the fourth wall by directly contacting users through Slack, Teams, email, and SMS to gather context, ensuring precise verdicts without hallucinations. We believe security should be practical, accessible, and effective for organizations of all sizes.

About The Role: We are seeking a founding engineer to help us continue our mission of building and scaling our MDR platform. This is a unique opportunity to have significant ownership and influence as we build the initial product from the ground up. Our ideal engineer has broad experience across frontend, backend, infrastructure, and cybersecurity. You will play a critical role in designing and implementing features that enable our platform to ingest user data, analyze security events, and deliver automated verdicts. This role requires full ownership of features from start to finish, including working with customers to understand their needs and ensuring product-market fit.

Key Responsibilities:

• Design and develop features for our MDR platform using TypeScript, React, BunJS, NestJS, Postgres, Clickhouse, NATS, and Redis
• Manage and optimize production infrastructure for reliability and scalability
• Collaborate with cybersecurity experts to integrate and test security features
• Work with data engineers and data scientists to improve detection algorithms
• Engage with customers to understand their needs and ensure product-market fit
• Troubleshoot and resolve complex technical issues in production
• Mentor junior engineers and contribute to architectural decisions

Required Skills & Qualifications:

• Proven experience building and scaling production systems
• Strong proficiency in TypeScript, React, BunJS, NestJS, Postgres, Clickhouse, NATS, Redis, and AWS
• Experience with frontend, backend, and infrastructure development
• Background in cybersecurity and threat detection is a plus
• Ability to take full ownership of features and manage them from conception to deployment
• Excellent communication skills to collaborate with cross-functional teams and customers
• Experience with cloud infrastructure and deployment (AWS preferred)
