**Role Description:**

As the Tech Lead, you will provide technical leadership and oversight for our growing engineering team. You will guide architectural decisions, mentor engineers, establish best practices, and ensure the quality and scalability of our software platform. You will work closely with product management, forward-deployed teams, and company leadership to translate business needs into robust technical solutions.

**Responsibilities:**

*   Lead the design and architecture of Workhelix's core software platform (Python, PostgreSQL, AWS).
*   Mentor and guide a team of software engineers, fostering a culture of technical excellence and collaboration.
*   Establish and enforce engineering best practices, including coding standards, code reviews, testing, and CI/CD.
*   Oversee the development lifecycle, ensuring timely delivery of high-quality software.
*   Collaborate with cross-functional teams to define technical requirements and roadmap.
*   Make key decisions regarding technology choices, tools, and infrastructure.
*   Stay current with emerging technologies and propose innovative solutions.
*   Contribute hands-on to development efforts when necessary.

**Ideal Candidate:**

*   Extensive experience in software development, with a strong background in Python.
*   Proven experience leading and mentoring engineering teams.
*   Deep understanding of backend systems architecture, databases (PostgreSQL preferred), and cloud infrastructure (AWS preferred).
*   Experience designing and building scalable, reliable, and maintainable software systems.
*   Strong knowledge of software engineering best practices and methodologies.
*   Excellent leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills.
*   Experience in a startup or fast-growing tech environment is a plus.
*   Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science or related field.
*   Based in or willing to work frequently in the Greater San Francisco Area.
