About The Role: We are seeking an experienced engineer with interest in building and managing agentic AI systems. You will develop our bespoke agentic assistant execution platform, build and integrate systems for retrieval, search, observability, multi-modal generation, and more, maintain model evaluation suites, deploy and operate stateful workloads, and contribute to our real-time collaborative application backend.

Responsibilities:

  • Develop our bespoke agentic assistant execution platform (TypeScript)
  • Build and integrate systems for retrieval, search, observability, multi-modal generation
  • Maintain model evaluation suites to optimize for quality, cost, and reliability
  • Deploy and operate stateful workloads on our cloud infrastructure (AWS)
  • Contribute to our real-time collaborative application backend (Cloudflare Workers, TypeScript, CRDTs, PostgreSQL)
  • Be part of the early founding team to guide the future of our products

Requirements:

  • Experience building non-trivial backend systems in TypeScript
  • Familiarity with AI engineering and experience working with LLMs
  • Interest in building novel and innovative backend systems
  • Willingness to contribute to frontend codebases when needed
  • Familiarity with Cloudflare Workers, Durable Objects, CRDTs, PostgreSQL

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience using and operationalizing language models in production
  • Experience deploying and scaling stateful compute workloads
  • Experience with observability tooling and DevOps practices
  • Experience with collaborative real-time technologies
  • Strong interest in writing and literature

Compensation: The estimated pay range for this role is £100,000 - £170,000, plus equity.

Location: Onsite/Hybrid in London, UK
