Ambient is an innovative cryptocurrency network built on a Proof of Work (PoW) model that leverages machine intelligence. The network incentivizes nodes to perform inference, fine-tuning, and pre-training on a single large language model (LLM) with over 600 billion parameters. Ambient replaces Bitcoin by providing a decentralized and open-source alternative where the economy is denominated in machine intelligence. Our unique approach combines SVM-compatible PoW with hyperscaled verified inference on a massive language model, enabling a censorship-resistant, privacy-preserving blockchain that rewards nodes for advancing AI capabilities. Ambient is a full fork of Solana, substituting Proof of Stake with Proof of Logits while maintaining high transaction speeds and integrating state-of-the-art foundation models.
