Layer Health is an AI/ML startup (fresh $21M Series A) leveraging LLM’s to transform how clinical data is understood and used. We're tackling a huge inefficiency in healthcare—patient chart abstraction, a $2B/year problem. Our enterprise LLM platform provides physician-level reasoning across patient charts, aiming to surpass human performance and unlock value for health systems and life science organizations by supporting use cases like clinical registry automation, quality measurement, and research data abstraction. Spun out of MIT and backed by Define Ventures, GV, and Flare Capital Partners, our team has deep research/ML backgrounds. We are currently ~18 people and expect to grow to 40-50 by the end of the year.
