Standard Model Biomedicine is an innovative company dedicated to building the standard model for biology, similar to how mathematics underpins physics. Our mission is to create a universal patient representation from any modality (genomes, CT scans, pathology slides, electrophysiological signals) to any outcome. We are a small team of experts from top companies and research institutions, including Bristol Myers Squibb, Siemens Healthineers, JPMorganChase, and Memorial Sloan Kettering Cancer Center. Our goal is to develop foundation models for oncology patients, enabling breakthroughs in biomedical applications through multimodal AI systems. Founded by Kevin Brown, Arda Pekis, Zekai Chen, David Laub, and Shaun Porwal, we focus on cutting-edge AI research while maintaining a commitment to scientific excellence and innovation in healthcare. We are based in Philadelphia but operate remotely, allowing us to attract top talent from around the world. Our research spans computational neuroscience, medical imaging, genomics, and federated learning, with a vision to reach $100M ARR while staying under 10 employees
